I’ve been advocating and helping our clients navigate the complexities of their financial lives for over 20 years, and my goal is to help them discover and attain their financial goals. I know firsthand the importance of not only understanding the numbers but also navigating the emotions that come with them. Each is equally important in building a successful financial plan that can provide you with security and comfortable life.
My commitment and service to my clients are the guiding principles in my business. My first glimpse of the importance of these principles was while working on a project during my senior year at Denison University. Then, an opportunity presented itself to interview and research seven successful female financial planners. I learned intimately how hard these women worked, the challenges they faced, and the incredible importance they placed on their relationships with clients. To this day, this experience and its impact on me has given me an everlasting gift.
While my senior project and a college internship first introduced me to the financial services industry, it was my personal experience that compelled me to learn more and build a career of helping people. Growing up, I watched my mother struggle financially and make sacrifices that she may not have made if she had the knowledge and tools to become independent financially. This experience not only inspired me to educate myself financially; it was the driving force behind my deep desire and commitment to educate and make a meaningful impact on the lives of my clients today.
I am a lifelong learner and always love a new challenge. After completing my Master of Business Administration at Waynesburg University, I earned my Certificate of Financial Planning from Duquesne University and my Certified Financial Planner ™ (CFP®) designation in 2016, as well as my Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation in 2014. I have been awarded as a Five Star Wealth Manager for the past eight years. I also enjoy being a member of Lincoln Financial Network’s WISE group that is a unique group of women inspiring, supporting, and educating other female colleagues, clients, and future advisors who are pursuing knowledge and services within the financial planning industry.
When I’m not training at the gym or on my Peloton (yes, I am obsessed with my Peloton), I am deeply involved in my community. One of my greatest joys truly comes from this involvement, and there is no doubt in my mind that this work has given back to me so much more than I could have ever given. It is my honor to serve on the Washington Health System Foundation (WHS) Board, where I am the current Investment Committee Chair. I am also on the boards of the Washington County Hospital Authority and the Washington Area Humane Society. I’ve been a member of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce for many years now, and POWER, an organization within the Chamber, committed to building strong and effective women leaders in the business community. I have volunteered my time at the American Cancer Society, RELAY for Life, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Dress for Success, and The Dreamers Company, and continue, to support these organizations today.
I’m a native of Washington County and reside here today in the Borough of East Washington with my husband and our fur babies near most of our family and my beloved nieces and nephews. My family is everything to me. During special times and holidays, our home often serves as a home base, “Grand Central Station,” and the hub of our family get-togethers. So, if you ever have a hankering for kale chips and green juice, just pop on by!
